Professional Scope and Regulatory Status
The clinical psychology training pathway typically involves approximately 5-6 years of higher education, either through an integrated Clinical Psychology degree or through a Bachelor's degree in Psychology followed by postgraduate clinical training. Ilia Tsa holds an integrated degree in Clinical Psychology (37.05.01) and is authorised to practise as a Clinical Psychologist in several CIS countries, including Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan. In the United Kingdom, however, "Clinical Psychologist" is a protected professional title regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
As Ilia is not currently registered with the HCPC, he does not use the protected title of Clinical Psychologist or practise within that protected scope in the UK. Instead, in the United Kingdom, Ilia practises within the scope of a psychological therapist, counsellor, and business psychologist, providing evidence-based psychological services.
